This is not Grisham’s usual legal thriller but it’s still a good story. Paul Tracey is the son of a professional baseball player, Warren Tracey, who was responsible for destroying the career of a brilliant young baseball star. The act was the final straw that tore Paul’s family apart and alienated him from his self-absorbed and harsh father. When Paul learns that his dad is dying of cancer, he is determined to make his father make amends for the wrong he did.
Baseball at it greatest—it's hard to swallow that such a superb star could ever exist but still fun to dream about. Even if you're not a baseball fan, it's still a good read. You’ll come to admire Paul who is determined to see his quest through to right a terrible wrong. I give if 4 out of 5 stars.
