Desire at Will shows us how to understand and interpret God's will so that we listen to what he is telling us and act according to his wishes. Turner covers five main elements: First, hearing God's voice which happens through the scriptures. God also uses other Christians as ways to reach us as well as direct communication with him.
Second, understanding his plan. Learning to evaluate or discern what we think we have heard. Fourth, choosing to believe what we have heard. Lastly, we must act on what we have been told.
Turner believes that if we follow God’s will then we will be “blessed in abundance.” The forward by Bishop Noel Vaughn sets the tone. He believes we have the will power to win and we must hold tight to this desire in order to reap the abundant blessings that could be ours.
The author includes many scripture references that follow a personal path of application that challenges us to reflect, meditate, apply and change. Most are referenced but not included in the text so readers will need to look them up to gain better understanding of her points. This is a very thorough study of how to abide in God’s will. Though you may not agree with everything the author says on the topic, she provides ample ammo for studying what the scriptures say and for coming to your own conclusions. I give this three out of five stars.
