Though Deason McKindle works as a garbage man he harbors dreams of becoming a forest ranger and he's determined to get there. He's a chivalrous man at heart and comes to the rescue of attractive Charis Locke who is being threatened by her abusive ex-husband. Sparks fly between them but before the romance can really get off the ground Deason ends up in serious trouble after he finds a body in a dumpster and is arrested for the man's murder.
I don't want to giveaway too much but Deason is a sympathetic character who seems to never get any breaks and it's clear from the start that Charis is the angel he needs in his life.
This is an enjoyable light romantic mystery I give it three out of five stars.

A touching and poignant look at the behind the scenes relationship of former Secret Service Agent Clint Hill who served as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’ agent during the Kennedy administration. Hill was assigned to Mrs. Kennedy after having served President Eisenhower. At the time he felt the assignment was a downgrade for him. Over time he grew to cherish his position as he and Mrs. Kennedy developed an almost telepathic ability to anticipate what she wanted and he served to keep her as much out of the press limelight as possible and protect her. However, nothing could ever prepare him for that tragic day in Dallas. The guilt over not being able to protect the president and his wife remains with him still. After reading this story I feel an even deeper respect for Jackie who was so full of life and who suffered through so much tragedy and for the man who wanted only to serve her and make her life as normal and happy as possible. I give it five out of five stars.
